A Behind The Scenes Look At Contacting Us

We've heard some of your concerns around trying to get the assistance you need when having an issue on the site. Our ultimate goal is to keep improving the product so you essentially won't need any help at all. We try our best to keep our Help Resources up to date with information about all of our features and policies, in addition to any current product issues or quirks. Most often, the solution to your problem is one that you can resolve on your own rather than contacting someone at YouTube directly.

Please keep in mind that human beings do actually review emails that are sent to us, but if we see the answer to your issue is already listed in the Help Centre we may not send a customised response. Many of our help options (listed below) allow you to resolve a problem immediately, rather than wait for a member of our team to respond to your inquiry by email:

  • First, and most importantly, check out our Help Centre. The handy search box lets you search for information about YouTube or look up issues across all Google products (as well as the entire Web). Click around and check out the articles. We're constantly adding more content to address site issues, big and small.

  • Our Abuse and Policy Centre is a one-stop-shop for resources related to safety and abuse on YouTube. You can browse through articles covering topics like how to deal with spam or gaming, how to control your account settings to limit interactions with certain users, and how to keep yourself generally safe while using the site.

  • The YouTube Community Help Forum is also a great resource. The Forum's discussion board is the official place to share ideas, provide feedback, ask and answer questions, and offer help to your fellow YouTube community members.

If after checking out all these resources you still haven't found exactly the information you're looking for, go ahead and send us an email. If the answer to your question isn't already in our Help Centre, we'll do our best to get back to you as soon as we can. Check back in the coming weeks and months for more posts about how to keep your YouTube experience safe, exciting, and always entertaining.

Here for you,

The YouTube Team

I see you keep changing the site design occasionally:/
it's like a hobby, just don't over do it, or you might kill the damn design:/

recieved a damn copyright email from a trash company called stars something, banning my video from most countries:/
No wonder why they are trash.

I understand you're overstretched, but a couple of months ago I sent two consecutive emails about a subject that wasn't quite covered by the Help Centre and got nothing but the relevant section of the FAQ, which I'd already read, sent back to me. It seems like your admins are pretty desperate to not have to deal with people in person, and are just hoping that in the end they'll give up (as I did). Google's got enough cash, why can't you just hire more staff if you can't deal with the traffic?

Quick note:
You always post a tweet about a new blog post days before the post actually appears. Gotta be some problem there :S

Please help me. I keep getting UK-related stuff (soccer and Gordon Ramsey) when what I want is baseball and US-stuff. I've had to create an account here just so I can leave a comment, because I can't find anything anywhere in the help pages. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

P.S. Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this, but I've spent an hour trying to get this fixed, and I'm at the end of my rope.

My Video was Removed for Inappropriate Content, but it was a "very" tasteful oil painting of a figurative nude on canvas. It was flagged by some vindictive troller and then youtube removed it, I can't believe a Youtube employee actually watched it and thought it was inappropriate!!! I am constantly emailing support for help to get it back, but no response from help!!! Even though the video was removed within hours of being flagged! Please help me work out how to contact some reasonable human at youtube to get my video back, thanks. lucaswv

I keep accidentally double-posting, too. There's obviously something wrong with the way the system works, though since I'm not a techie I can't work out what. I've tried to call YouTube several times to sort out why I keep getting UK content, but it's just a Google automatic switchboard with no "help" service. And I've got an uneasy feeling that it's not toll-free, either. I think we may just have to accept that YouTube has stepped over to the dark side. If anyone from YouTube is actually reading this, please contact me and tell me how I can stop receiving UK content. I've tried everything, and nothing works.

I would like to know why I cannot post "AdSense for Search" to my page being as I am a partner... for some reason, I cannot find a way to email "youtube staff" (which is a little odd)...

If someone know how to do this, please let me know.
