YouTube NextUp Europe: Funding, Training, Promotion and Networking
Are you a YouTube partner? Do you have fewer than 50,000 subscribers? If so, then you could be part of the first wave of the YouTube NextUp programme in Europe, which is designed to support aspiring channels of all types to accelerate their progress and take the next step in their activities online.
Last year, our partners generated more than 100 billion views as part of our partner programme. We believe that the successful singers, dancers, actors, producers, musicians and make-up artists of the future are practicing their craft on YouTube today. Partners are key to our platform, and we want to see even more of them take the next step in their YouTube careers and turn their video hobbies into careers or even businesses.
So, today we’re announcing an initiative geared towards up-and-coming YouTube partners: YouTube NextUp. The goal of the project is to accelerate the growth of the next big YouTube stars. Up to 25 partners from around Europe (United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands) will be selected for the development programme, which consists of:
- €20,000 funding to produce a new project, purchase new tools or advance their overall YouTube careers.
- A place at a YouTube Creator Camp in which they’ll benefit from 1:1 mentoring and learn an array of production techniques from leading industry and YouTube experts.
- Promotion of their final work and channel.
- The opportunity to become better connected with a special community of aspiring and talented content creators from around the world.
Our Partners succeed thanks to the support and interest of the YouTube community as a whole, so we’re encouraging users to cast their votes on the longlist of finalists from July 1 to July 9 at the channel. Once this public voting ends, a final shortlist of Partners will go forward to the final round, which will be judged by a panel of YouTube representatives. The members of the first YouTube NextUp programme in Europe will be announced on August 2.
So, if you are a partner and you have a) a clear idea of how you want to develop on YouTube, and b) can demonstrate the drive to do so, then you could well find yourself NextUp for YouTube fame.

Really glad you decided to roll this programme out to other countries! Thanks guys. Looking forward to seeing what European partners come up with!
Can't wait until I'm eighteen to give it a go, let's hope I get enough subscribers! :D
Sounds like a good competition, seriously considering giving it a go... Thanks to YT for creating it, and good luck to anyone who's entering!

100 billion?
Yeah sounds great.. If you can get noticed? What about all the talented people who arent youtube partners? theres many more people who deserve partnership then most of the people with it? How about you do something to help them rather then help the people who are already making money from youtube?
Mind blowing ......really youtube you are amazing

Fantastic, I really appreciate this opportunity guys!
I'm with JoeDreamer on this. II'll ad mit to getting excited whenever I've seen a YT blogpost directed toward the European YT community, but it pisses me off to no end when I read the words "FOR PARTNERS ONLY"
Why must you direct things like this to the partners when they already have a good share of viewers, and are making money from their videos, all the while burying non partners' videos who are just as talented and/or interesting as Partners.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels that you should be looking at more non partner channels and seeing how your events can help them become more popular and/or future YouTube Partners.
I'm glad this is available in Europe as well now! Still feel really left out though. I've been making videos on this site for 4 years and I have a fairly big audience but because I live in Denmark I am excluded from both the partnership program AND this YouTube NextUp competition.
Doesn't feel good.
I'm with Simon on this one! I love the fact that you've brought this to Europe and I really wanted to apply - but because I live in Sweden I'm excluded from being a partner AND the YouTube NextUp competition... I'm sorry but this is PANTS!
Can't wait when YT partnership starts to include Estonia!! :( My account: ggrrish
Really exited, but dont think we will do so well In the public vote as we have a small account (BRACK3N) Its a good Idea!!.
: )
its good oportunity for all of us

So happy they brought it to Europe! We're always left out! I'm not partnered yet but maybe next year :) sounds like an amazing opportunity!
youtube is amazing website, i can learn everythings from it. i created my personal website www.plasticcardonline.com .thanks
Why does an internet business like YouTube insist on recognising old fashioned national borders? Did not the internet promise an end to all that?
Why does YT seem so corporate and up its own arse?
"Partners are key to our platform"
Thanks for making all your other users feel like shit :(

We’re also asking for short written explanation of how they’ll use the €20,000, why they want to be part of the programme, and what they hope to learn at the YouTube Creator Camp. moreviews
Teach about it (take a look at my blog on silence for some ideas) and then work up from short shared silences - maybe one minute to start with - to longer ones. This will be very precious for them, but also very challenging. Ask them to write or share their experience of these silences, and what silence means in their lives. Sección Amarilla
